Flickr

I enjoyed learning about Flickr. I have not investigated it until now, although I knew that our Library had posted some images, particularly of events held. It was interesting to look at them!

The Picture Australia collection is certainly interesting and very board ranging, the variety of contributing organisations is impressive.

Blue Mountains

This image was taken by me at the Blue Mountains. I love the contrast between the tree trunks blackened by fire and the fresh green shoots.

This is a picture of a Manly Ferry, the Narrabeen, travelling to the City from Manly. I enjoy commuting in this way, it can be a relaxing way to travel into the city for a night's entertainment.

Library blogs using Technorati

I ran a couple of searches using Technorati. I originally searched for: Library blogs which I then modified to Libraries. I also searched for "Public libraries" and found these results to be more relevant. I further refined my seach to "Public libraries" and Australia and children. This resulted in 29 results most of which related to internet filtering and censorship issues.

I'm refreshing my memory and trying to post a second "post".

First Ever Post

Good Evening

This is my first ever post on my brand new blog. I've certainly learnt alot already from the NSW Public Libraries Learning 2.0 programme, I've not really "discovered" YouTube until now and I've enjoyed watching the various clips. I particularly enjoyed the The Machine is Us/ing Us clip. I watched it twice: the first time to read it all, the second time to watch what was actually happening.
